As 2012 comes to a close I realize that it has been one of the best years I've had in a long time. Hopefully this New Years Eve will be more fun than last years. I guess the best way to know you'll have a great year is to make sure your new years eve is dreadful!
But I think everyone thinks back on their year and says what they are grateful for, and what they wish for the upcoming year and frankly I think that is the best thing you can do at the end of the year but it is also something you should do all year long.
But to keep with the cliche,
I am truly grateful for my friends and family even though they sometimes drive me insane!
My best friends Adam and Kelsey are simply the greatest people I could ever ask for in my life! They know how to tell me to shut up and they keep me sane and yet let me be crazy and we have so much fun. I literally can not picture my life with out them in it now. I couldn't have gotten better friends even if I had wished for them or made them!
My family are some of the craziest people I know but I wouldn't love them if they weren't! My brother, the 25 year old schmuck who lives at home is the greatest guy. He loves to share his knowledge with anyone and everyone interested because he knows that sharing knowledge doesn't make you less intelligent it just helps to make the rest of the world smarter! I totally agree. My Parents are some of the greatest people I know that are their age. They know that life is about seizing the moment and important parts, and they live very day with love and acceptance of others and I stive for that every day.
My work family at ECC is something I am so grateful for simply because I wouldn't be the person I am today without them. Being a camper there and then working there has taught me to accept who I am and embrace that I am different and that's alright because I am a child of God and He made me special, so even when I am alone I remember that I am special to someone who is special to me.
The most important thing to me though is that everyone understand that they are special and loved. If you don't have someone to care about or pray for you feel free to let me know and you would be special to me, my friends, and my community simply because what is life worth if you can't share it with the people who love you and you love?
I hope everyone who reads this has a Happy New Year full of Love, Health, Joy, Friends, Family and Peace. If I have any advice for the coming year I would say that everyday you should either write down or at least give thanks for 10 things that you are thankful from that day! Start you day positive and end it positive! Your day will automatically be better even if it starts badly, keep smiling and just take a deep breath!
